LoRa Technology Comes to Aid of Australian Cotton Farmers
In an innovative application of LoRa technology, semiconductor supplier Semtech Corporation is leveraging its LoRa@ devices and wireless radio frequency technology to help Australian carrier National Narrowband Network Co. (NNNCo) develop innovative irrigation management solutions for Australian cotton growers. The network is being rolled out with Goanna Ag, an Australian agriculture company. Read more
LoRa Solution Offers Wireless View Into Soil Health
A handful of growers and other food companies are piloting a wireless sensor system from Teralytic that uses Semtech LoRaWAN chips built into sensor probes to capture and interpret data about a farm's soil conditions, including temperature, moisture and fertilizer levels. Read more
