Overview
The μClamp series of transient voltage suppressor (TVS) arrays are designed to protect sensitive electronics from damage or latch-up due to electrostatic discharge (ESD) and transient surge events. Under normal operating conditions, the device will present a high impedance up to the working voltage (3.3V) of the device. It will remain in an “off” state unless the breakdown voltage (4.9V minimum) is exceeded. This has the effect of lowering the ESD clamping voltage and providing a higher level of protection when compared to conventional ESD protection devices.
